## How does Meta Muse work?

You connect apps one at a time. Muse comes with built-in connectors, and Meta lists email, calendars, payments, health and fitness, smart home, dining, shopping, music and events. If a service has no connector, Muse can open its own web browser and use the site the way you would.

All of this happens on what Meta calls the **Muse Secure VM**, a separate cloud computer just for your Muse. Your passwords and card details are stored there so Muse can use them without seeing them. A second agent called **Sentinel** runs alongside it and checks anything Muse sends out to the internet. Purchases go through Link by Stripe, which makes a one-time card for each order. ## Is Meta Muse free? Pricing

Mostly, yes. Meta says the free tier covers most of what people need, with a usage meter that warns you when you run low. TechCrunch reports you still need to add a payment card to get started. If you use it heavily, there are two paid plans in the US:

## Where is Meta Muse available?

- **United States:** September 8, 2026.

- **Canada:** mid-September 2026, per iPhone in Canada.

- **Japan:** October 23, 2026, announced by Meta’s Alexandr Wang, with partners such as Klook.

- **Singapore:** Meta’s newsroom post is dated October 27, and the apps went live on October 28. Launch partners are Shopee, Grab, Singapore Airlines, Agoda, ShopBack, Klook, Trip.com and Lazada, plus Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram. Meta says some connectors will arrive after launch.

If you are outside those four countries, the app is not in your App Store yet, and Meta has not shared dates for other markets.

## Is Meta Muse safe?

Meta’s answer is a list of controls. Muse asks before sensitive actions like sending an email or paying. You can set read-only access so it cannot send, change files or buy. You can revoke access at any time, and the app keeps an audit trail. Meta says conversations and VM data are not shared with its ad systems, and you can opt out of AI training.

The real test is how it works in daily life. A Straits Times reporter found Muse handy for umbrella reminders based on the forecast and for spotting visa needs before a trip. But it booked a restaurant it then could not cancel, because it tried to log into an account that did not exist, and it suggested a restaurant that had closed. Meta’s own sign-up screen warns that Muse can make mistakes. TechCrunch also pointed to Meta’s long privacy record, including a $5 billion FTC settlement in 2019, as a reason people may hesitate to hand it their accounts.
