Gemini for Small Business: Google’s New Business Hub, Explained
Gemini for small business now has its own hub in the Gemini app, since October 20, 2026. What the brand, finance and app tools do, and what is still unclear.
If you run a bakery, a repair shop or a one-person design studio, Google just made a pitch aimed straight at you. On October 20, 2026, it added a set of small business tools to the Gemini app, with a new business page at the center.
So what is Gemini for small business, exactly? Is it a new product, a new plan, or a few new buttons? Here is what Google actually announced, what it costs (as far as anyone knows), and what is still unclear.
What is Gemini for small business?
It is not a separate app. It is a business-focused area inside the Gemini app you may already have. Google calls the new landing page a "central hub" for branding, finances and customer insights. From there, an owner can make marketing images, look at their numbers and pull in data from the tools they already use.
The announcement came from Vishnu Sivaji, Senior Director of the Gemini app, on Google’s Keyword blog. Google says "tens of millions" of small business owners already use Gemini for things like brainstorming products and handling customer feedback. This update gives them a dedicated starting point instead of a blank chat box.
What the new Gemini business tools do
Google named four main pieces. Here they are in plain words.
| Feature | What it does | Example task |
|---|---|---|
| Business landing page | One home screen for brand, money and customer work | Start your week from one place instead of five tabs |
| On-brand visuals | Upload your website, brand kit, fonts or colors once. Gemini keeps that style for later images made with Nano Banana 2.1, Google’s latest image model | A sale flyer that matches your logo colors without re-explaining them |
| Real-time financial insights | Turns spreadsheets, receipts and purchase records into charts and interactive models | See which month your supply costs jumped |
| Connected apps and skills | Links Gemini to business tools, plus new marketing and finance skills | Pull Shopify sales into a summary, then draft a Google Ads idea |
Which apps does Gemini for business connect to?
Google listed three of its own services and seven from other companies:
- Google: Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Google Workspace.
- Others: Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho and Xero.
This is the most agent-like part of the update. A chatbot answers questions. An agent works with your real tools and data. Connecting Gemini to your store, your books and your ads account is a step from the first toward the second. One honest caveat: Google’s post does not spell out what each connection is allowed to change, or whether Gemini can act on its own inside those apps. Until that is clear, treat it as a helper that reads and drafts, and check anything before it goes live.
Is Gemini for small business free?
Google says the landing page, the marketing and finance skills and the new connected apps are rolling out "for all Gemini app users." It did not publish a price for these tools, and it did not say whether some of them need a paid Google AI plan or have usage limits. Adgully, which covered the launch, also found no pricing or plan details in the announcement. So the fair answer today: you can likely open the hub for free, but heavy use may run into the same limits as the rest of the Gemini app. We will update this page if Google publishes plan details.
Gemini for small business vs Gemini Enterprise
People are already searching "Gemini business vs Enterprise," and the difference is simple. The new tools live in the everyday Gemini app and are aimed at owners and tiny teams. For larger companies, Google points to Gemini Enterprise, which it describes as offering central admin controls, advanced data governance and enterprise-grade security.
| Gemini app business tools | Gemini Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Small business owners | Larger businesses |
| Where it lives | The regular Gemini app | A separate business product |
| Admin controls | Not mentioned | Central admin and data governance |
| Price | Not announced for the new tools | Sold as a business plan |
This is also different from Gemini Launchpads, the program Google and Accenture announced a day earlier for US federal agencies. Launchpads is about government teams building custom agents. The small business hub is self-serve for anyone with the app.
How to use Gemini for small business
Google says the rollout happens "in the coming days," so you may not see it yet. When it arrives:
- Open the Gemini app and look for the new business landing page.
- Set up your brand once: upload your website, logo kit, fonts or color palette.
- Connect the tools you already use, such as Google Business Profile, Shopify or Xero.
- Start with one small, checkable job, like a summary of last month’s receipts or three social posts for a sale.
Google’s own examples are useful because they are ordinary. A ceramicist in Bordeaux uses Gemini for product descriptions and newsletters and says it saves her "two to three hours every day." A farmer in Maharashtra used it to plan a budget for a ginger farm. A burger restaurant owner in New Jersey uses it to follow local search and menu trends.
What this means for you
The bigger story is that the big AI companies now see small businesses as the place where agents prove their worth. The tasks are real, the time savings are easy to count, and nobody has an IT department to set things up. For more of the same idea in action, see 10 real ways people use AI agents.
You do not need to wait for a rollout to work this way, and you do not need to tie your business to one company’s tools. Agentic AI gives you a team of ready-made expert agents on your iPhone and iPad, running on frontier models. You can put up to 4 agents on one task, like a Research Analyst and a Writing Coach working together on a supplier comparison and the email that follows it. There is no account to create, and your first 3 tasks are free.
